The best way to connect with me is to pull up a chair, warm coffee in hand, and spend an hour exchanging ideas, exploring the beauty around us, talking about art and design and faith, and tuning out the loud sounds of children running amuck.

But alas that is a rare opportunity.

In the meantime, you can reach out to me via email jgwritesandpaints@gmail.com or DM me through Instagram @jgwritesandpaints.

  • I’ve had the joy of writing alongside other authors for a national ministry called ThriveMoms under the leadership of founder and author Kara-Kae James (unfortunately TM is no longer active but content can be found on Instagram), author Sarah E. Frazer’s Summer in the Psalms series and collaborate cover designs, and author Rachael Keck Adams the Love Offering blog.

In addition, I’ve had pieces published with The Mighty blog, who also shared it on the New York Times website.

It is an honor and joy to write and share about art for healing from trauma, to share about our world as a special needs parent, and my favorite, sharing devotionals that point our eyes to Jesus.

I would love the opportunity to chat through email or video about the possibility of collaborating on writing projects in the future. Email me at jgwritesandpaints@gmail.com.

My favorite ordinary things:

Autumn, candles, Bible and various journals, copious random notebooks (usually because the covers are pretty), studying scripture, drinking the coffee, time with my husband and kiddos, sitting outside on the swing, nature, reading (mostly nonfiction), spring in full bloom, and finally board games.

Oh, and of course, art. Well, art supplies in general, but that list could get lengthy.
